With summer, in fact, there is usually a different mood, which leads young and old to want to spend as much time as possible outdoors, perhaps taking part in leisure and social occasions.
Well, all this will certainly not be missing in Turin, which had already been full of tourists during 2023. In the Piedmontese capital, in fact, there will be more than 300 events that will take place between June and September. This type of Summer Points program, which we will then go into more detail in the following lines, is called “What a beautiful Summer!” and in fact it includes events from June to September including music, cinema, theater and dance.
What are and what will be the main summer spots in Turin
First of all, we start with the Evergreen Fest 2024, taking place from 1 June to 21 July at Parco della Tesoriera, Corso Francia. The event includes free entry with music, shows and meetings for summer evenings. After that we also have SPAZIO211 Open Air and Mappa Mundi, two events which will respectively take place from 3 June to 28 September and from 1 June to 30 September.
While the first guarantees 60 days of cultural activities for a total of a hundred events, the second includes 4 months of cinema, sport, shows, concerts and screenings of the European Championship matches, in which Luciano Spalletti’s Italy will also participate. Summer in the South, Hiroshima Sound Garden and ROOFTOP Summer: The Terrace of Happiness are three other Summer Points which aim to entertain the people of Turin and tourists throughout the summer of 2024. The first covers the period from 4 June to September 29th and all its events include free entry; the second, from June 3 to September 26, will offer free outdoor concerts; the third, again between June and September, will offer its visitors the opportunity to attend concerts, talks, theatre, aperitifs, book presentations and much more on one of the most fascinating terraces of San Salvario.
The event called Cinema in Famiglia will also be held by Associazione Culturale Zampanò. Other cultural events to attend during the Turin summer are Il coraggio di essere felici (The Courage to be Happy), scheduled from June 5 to July 25, and Impatto Zero – Il palco sostenibile (Zero Impact – The Sustainable Stage), scheduled from June 5 to July 12. The latter offers its visitors the opportunity to take part in film screenings, concerts, laboratories, workshops and theatrical performances.
All this for free. Finally, an important event is the AmMira Festival of culture and civic education, which started on 31 May with an expiry date of Friday 28 June. Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday there is a presentation of books, theatrical performances, meetings and musical evenings.
