The route and prohibitions in the municipalities of Faenza, Brisighella and Riolo Terme
On Sunday 30 June, as is known, cyclists taking part in the Tour de France will also pass through the municipalities of Faenza, Brisighella and Riolo Terme.
Here are the changes to the road system and the route in the municipality of Ravenna
The race coming from Russi, traveling along the Provincial Road 302 will reach Faenza (via Ravegnana), will pass through the town center and continue in the direction Brisighella always on the SP 302 (via Firenze); after crossing the town the stage will continue in the direction Riolo Terme along the SP 23 (viale Pascoli, via Rontana, via Calbane in the municipality of Brisighella and via Limisano in the municipality of Riolo Terme). After having covered a part of the town, the race will continue on the SP 306 in the direction Casola Valsenio and at the crossroads with the SP 65 (via Gallisterna, via Caduti di Toranello) it will continue on this last road, also traveling along the municipal road via Sabbioni and then crossing into the municipality of Imola.
List of roads affected by the route in the inhabited centers of the three municipalities:
- Faenza (between 1.45pm and 2.15pm): via Ravegnana, via Gatti, roundabout of the Niballo Palio di Faenza, Cavalcaferrovia, piazzale Sercognani, viale IV Novembre, corso Garibaldi, piazza del Popolo, piazza della Libertà, corso Matteotti, piazza Fratti, viale Marconi, via Firenze, roundabout 100 Km of Passer.
- Brisighella (between 2.05pm and 2.35pm): via XXIV Maggio, largo Zwingenberg, via Metelli, piazza porta Gabalo, piazza Marconi, via Naldi, via Porta Fiorentina, piazza Carducci, via Roma, viale Pascoli, via Rontana. In Brisighella, a car park for campers and cars will be established in the green area in via Dionisi di Naldo.
- Riolo Terme (between 2.20pm and 2.50pm): via Limisano, via Firenze.
Below are the changes to roads and the suspension of traffic adopted with specific ordinance.
In the municipality of Faenza:
- from 7pm on Saturday 29 June to 4pm on Sunday June, parking ban with forced removal on both sides of the main carriageway, on the shoulder and in any area adjacent to the carriageway in: via Ravegnana (between via Gatti and the end of center sign inhabited towards Ravenna), via Gatti, Niballo Palio di Faenza roundabout, piazzale Sercognani, viale IV Novembre (in the stretch between piazzale Sercognani and corso Garibaldi/viale Ceramiche), corso Garibaldi (in the stretch between viale IV Novembre and viale), piazza della Libertà, Piazza del Popolo, Piazzetta della Legna, Corso Matteotti, Viale Marconi, Via Firenze (between Viale Marconi and the end of town sign towards Florence).
- from 10.30 am to 3 pm on Sunday 30 June (and in any case until the needs cease): temporary suspension of traffic, ban on transit on the roadway for all vehicles and pedestrians, in the following streets and squares within the town centre: via Ravegnana (between via Gatti and the end of town sign towards Ravenna), via Gatti, Niballo Palio di Faenza roundabout, piazzale Sercognani, viale IV Novembre (between piazzale Sercognani, corso Garibaldi/viale Ceramiche), corso Garibaldi (between viale IV Novembre and viale Ceramiche and the intersection with piazza della Libertà), piazza della Libertà, piazza del Popolo, piazzetta della Legna, corso Matteotti, viale Marconi, via Firenze (between viale Marconi and the end of town sign towards Florence) .
- from 6am on Friday 28 June to 7pm on Monday 1 July, parking ban with forced removal in via Einaudi at number 2.
- from 1pm to 3pm on Sunday 30 June (and in any case until the need ceases): transit ban for all pedestrians on the overpass, including the pavement and pedestrian crossing, except for expressly authorized persons.
- from 7pm on Saturday 29th to 3pm on Sunday 30th June, parking prohibited in Piazza Sant’Agostino in the garages adjacent to Corso Matteotti
- from 7am to 3pm on Sunday 30 June, parking ban with forced removal (except authorized) in Piazza Martiri della Libertà in the row of boxes between Via Marescalchi and Palazzo del Podestà.
- On Sunday 30 June, from 10.30am to 3pm, for residents only, the one-way streets, interrupted by the coincidence with the race route, will be passable in two directions. For vehicles traveling along the Forlì-Bologna route, recommended route: ring road (viale Assirelli) for both directions. For vehicles coming from the motorway toll booth or from Bagnacavallo and heading towards Bologna and Forlì, recommended route: via San Silvestro, via Piero della Francesca, via Risorgimento, via Emilia Ponente, Vini e dei Sapori roundabout. On the Forlì-Bologna route, vehicles under 35 quintals can pass via Filanda Nuova-Ravegnana-Filanda Vecchia.
In the municipality of Brisighella:
- from 7pm on Saturday 29th to 4pm on Sunday 30th June, parking ban with forced removal on both sides of the main carriageway, on the shoulder and in any area adjacent to the carriageway in the streets: via Faentina (between via XXIV Maggio, via Maglioni and the end of town sign in the direction of Ravenna); via XXIV Maggio (between via Faentina and via Maglioni and the intersection with Largo Zwingenberg); wide Zwingenberg; via Metelli (between Largo Zwingenberg and Piazzetta Porta Gabalo), Piazzetta Porta Gabalo, Piazza Marconi, Via Naldi, Via Porta Fiorentina, Piazza Carducci, Via Roma, Viale Pascoli, Via Rontana in the part in the town centre.
- from 10.45am to 3pm, on Sunday 30 June (and in any case until the needs cease), temporary suspension of traffic, ban on transit on the roadway for vehicles and pedestrians, in the following streets and squares within the town centre: via Faentina (between via XXIV Maggio and via Maglioni and the end of town sign towards Ravenna), via XXIV Maggio (between via Faentina and via Maglioni and the intersection with largo Zwingenberg), largo Zwingenberg, via Metelli (between largo Zwingenberg and piazzetta Porta Gabalo ), Piazzetta Porta Gabalo, Piazza Marconi, Via Naldi, Via Porta Fiorentina, Piazza Carducci, Via Roma, Viale Pascoli and Via Rontana in the part in the town centre.
- from 6 am to 4 pm on Sunday 30 June (and in any case until the need ceases): forced removal of all equipment, all displays and materials present in via Metelli (between Largo Zwingenberg and Piazzetta Porta Gabalo), Piazzetta Porta Gabalo, Piazza Marconi, via Naldi, via Porta Fiorentina, piazza Carducci and via Roma.
- from 10am to 3pm on Sunday 30 June (and in any case until the needs cease): in via Ugonia (between piazzetta IV Novembre and via De Gasperi), establishment of one-way traffic with direction Ravenna – Florence.
In the municipality of Riolo Terme:
- from 7pm on Saturday 29th to 4pm on 30th June 2024 parking ban with forced removal for all vehicles on both sides of the main carriageway, on the shoulder and any area adjacent to the carriageway in the section of Via Limisano in the town centre, in the section of via Firenze between the intersection with via Limisano and the end of town sign in the direction of Florence, via Sabbioni;
- from 11 am to 3.30 pm on 30 June and in any case until the needs cease, the temporary suspension of traffic, ban on transit on the roadway for all vehicles and pedestrians, in the following streets within the town centre: via Limisano, in stretch of via Firenze between the intersection with via Limisano and the end of town sign in the direction of Florence.
The passage of advertising caravan is scheduled 1 hour and 45 minutes earlier the transit of competitors
All along the way traffic will be interrupted from 10.30am to 3.30pm; on the two main climbs the traffic ban will be brought forward: Monticino (from 7 am) and Gallisterna (from midnight on Saturday 29 June); vehicular transit will be prohibited here (except residents, rescue and emergency vehicles). Traffic will be restored no earlier than 15 minutes after the passage of the race caravan.
They will also be provided further measures to protect public order and safety: prohibition on positioning vehicles, trailers and any other bulky or cumbersome material at a distance of less than two meters from the road shoulder (except for concessions already in place) of the streets and squares affected by the route. Starting from 11 am on June 30th until the end of the event: ban on selling or serving food using glass containers and cans (except those consumed inside public establishments and public land concessions) and ban on using any blunt object in all open spaces in the vicinity of the route.
During the period of temporary suspension of traffic is The transit of any vehicle not following the race is prohibited, in both directions of the section affected by the transit of competitors (i.e. on the lanes or in the section affected by the aforementioned limitation); all vehicle drivers are prohibited from entering the route affected by the transit of competitors (i.e. on the lanes or in the section affected by the aforementioned limitation); all drivers of vehicles coming from roads or areas that intersect or enter the road affected by the transit of competitors are obliged to stop before engaging it, respecting the manual or light signals of the bodies in charge of supervision or of the personnel of the organization; Vehicle drivers and pedestrians are obliged not to cross the road. Without prejudice to the need to adopt all the precautions necessary to avoid dangers for competitors, the prohibitions and obligations indicated above do not apply to drivers of vehicles used for police, fire and first aid services, as well as to those specifically authorized by the organization or by the police bodies responsible for supervision.
