Perugia, Farmacentro: Golinelli confirmed as president

Perugia, June 25, 2024 – The president of Farmacentro, Stefano Golinelliwas reconfirmed for another three-year period at the helm of the cooperative by the members’ assembly, meeting on Sunday 23 June in Jesi (in the province of Ancona) for the renewal of the Board of Directors. In the new board of directors, in addition to Golinelli, sitting Marco Meconi, Eduardo Salsano, Gaetano Barba, Alberto Ceccolini, Ivo Coppola, Paolo Lapi, Emilio Guarda, Stefano Alvisi, Filiberto Orlacchio, Lodovico Vitali, Giulio Lattanzi and Vincenzo Scaccianoce.

«The three-year period that has just ended was a difficult period full of challenges – Golinelli recalled in his report – Despite all this, our cooperative has once again confirmed its capacity for resilience, even in the face of the most acute crises, and has concretely demonstrated its reaction strength. We are once again the emblem of the value of cooperation, because we distributed 700 thousand euros in refunds to our members.”

During the meeting it is The 2023 budget was also approved which closed for Farmacentro with a turnover of 381 million eurosmarking the second best result ever. The budget profit stood at 1.4 million euros, equal to 0.37% of total revenues, the fourth best result in the company’s history. This success was accompanied by a significant increase in the level of member loyalty.

«In a year as difficult as 2023 – said the general manager, Marco MarianiFarmacentro has behaved like a true cooperative thanks to a series of interventions aimed at containing costs and three million in investments in automation, which have led the Perugia and Jesi hubs to reach levels of 70% and 76% respectively in digitalisation.

Thanks to the work carried out, we managed to obtain an improvement in the commercial and banking rating, with a reduction of 40 million in the use of bank credit between 2017 and 2024. Last year we invested in an ambitious training project which involved the entire population company with the aim of increasing the level of productivity and above all motivation, setting a new managerial philosophy that focuses on our essential values, such as responsibility, trust and cooperation”.
