These will probably be the last hours in the history of Milan without the Rossoneri club having, like many of the biggest clubs in Europe, a second team. In fact, by today, all the documentation for registration in Serie C must be delivered, which is possible after Ancona’s refusal to participate in the next championship.

Work on the stadium
While awaiting official communications, work continues on the “Chinetti” Stadium in Solbiate Arno, the facility chosen to host the Rossoneri; these changes in total will cost around one million euros and will involve a directly sown grass lawn. For now, work on the stands, which will concern the seats, the press gallery and the LED scoreboards on the sidelines, has not yet begun: this is an aspect that will be completed over the next few weeks. At the moment, the focus of operations is on the pitch.

The two fundamental figures
The first fundamental figure is the coach who will be Daniele Bonera, who in recent years has been permanently on Stefano Pioli’s staff to take care, in particular, of the tactical part. Then there will also be an ad hoc sporting director: this is Jovan Kirovski, an American who brought Ibra to the LA Galaxy and who Zlatan himself called to Milan to demonstrate the importance of the project: “We have – explained Ibrahimovic – a project of under-23 team which will be very important for us: we want to connect the under-23 team with the first team. In this sense, Fonseca’s role is very important: he is a coach who gives the young player opportunities, gives him responsibility.”
