Euro Pisa: Mlakar prepares for the match against England

At 9pm Colony Jan’s Slovenia Mlakar will face England for what is a bit of the challenge of a lifetime for the Balkan national team which is participating in the final phase of a European Championship for the second time after the one in 2000.

In that case La Slovenia stopped in the first round. This time there is the possibility of obtaining a historic result, that is, access to the round of 16, after the 1-1 draws against Denmark and Serbia who are playing at the same time in Munich. The Group C standings leave everything open: England 4 points, Slovenia and Denmark 2, Serbia 1.

This evening too, Mlakar should start on the left wing in the 4-4-2 according to the probable line-ups on the eve. On the official website of the Slovenian national team, Mlakar confirmed that there are no particular concerns about injuries in the team before the most difficult match of the group. “The hardest things are the most beautiful. In the first two games we were consistent, let’s focus above all on ourselves.”

Mlakar believes it: “We all have to work. If we are united we can do well. And if we are on the same level of running and thinking then anything is possible. We have already shown that we can achieve important results. We must not be afraid. We know how much this match is worth.”

England-Slovenia will be directed by the French referee Clement Turpin, the referee of the Champions League final won 2-0 by Real Madrid over Borussia Dortmund. Almost 50 thousand spectators are expected Rhein Energie Stadion of Cologne.
