Messina, lack of certainties around Modica: what future for the Giallorossi?
In the Press conference of last June 13th, Giacomo Modica announced his stay. But the announcement arrived in an anomalous manner, without the presence of a man from the company other than the coach nor a press release accompanying the ratification of the agreement. Furthermore, the president’s less than perfect physical condition has once again emerged Pietro Sciotto. The owner was forced to put everything aside for a while. But at the same time, Modica always considered it necessary to quickly find a general and sporting director, precisely in light of a program that was impossible to carry out by Sciotto alone, especially in these conditions.
12 days have passed since then and nothing has moved. Or perhaps too much has moved, considering the rumors of possible share transfers which have only diverted attention from the team’s needs. To date, Giacomo Modica he has a contract expiring on June 30th and the promise to stay, in a context yet to be verified. That’s all. A bit little for a coach who had the best season in recent years in Messina and who also gave up attractive offers, such as that of Picerno. Therefore, the only certainty for the Giallorossi in this summer of waiting does not seem so certain.
