Montesilvano. Over the weekend, the Carabinieri from the Radiomobile branch of Montesilvano arrested a Senegalese man, burdened by specific precedents, responsible for aggravated theft in a house under construction in via Dora Baltea.
It was a private citizen who alerted the Pescara operations center about a person who was wandering around the area suspiciously, fearing that he had the intention of perpetrating thefts against homes, providing a brief description of the man.
A Radiomobile crew was immediately sent to the scene and, thanks to their timely and reactive intervention, they caught the 38-year-old in flagrante delicto who at that moment was making a hasty escape on his bicycle, after having committed the theft. inside a house under construction.
The military, having realized that the man could correspond to the description provided by the witness, immediately proceeded to block and search him, finding him in possession of 20 kilos of electrical cables containing copper and 2 flexible hoses which, following the checks, were found to be be removed illegitimately from inside the home under construction.
Thanks to the multiple investigative elements acquired by the military, the Senegalese was declared under arrest and taken to the Court of Pescara, where the arrest was validated and the measure of precautionary custody was ordered at the Pescara prison
