The 15 winning students of the “A Scuola in Europa” tender, an initiative born from the partnership between the Agnelli Foundation, the Pesenti Ets Foundation and the UniCredit Foundation with the Intercultura Foundation, were awarded at the Milan headquarters of the Pesenti Ets Foundation. The selected girls and boys will benefit from a scholarship to attend a school term abroad, welcomed by local families and assisted by Intercultura volunteers.

Now in its third edition, the “A Scuola in Europa” project is offering scholarships for totally free three-month programs in Flemish Belgium, Denmark, France, Latvia, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Serbia, Turkey and Hungary, for which they were able to compete deserving students, resident in Campania, Lombardy and Piedmont. A distinctive feature of the project is that it is dedicated to girls and boys from technical-professional institutes, who often have fewer opportunities to study abroad than their peers who attend high schools. And as the demand for technical and specialist training grows to respond to changes in the world of work and the new needs of companies, it is even more important to invest in training the talents of tomorrow.

Among them also Filippo Vadim, from Legnano enrolled at Enrico Tosi in Busto Arsizio who will participate in a three-month program in Flemish Belgium. Departures are scheduled for summer 2024. The experience abroad involves being welcomed by selected families, attending a local school with an address in line with that of origin and is followed step by step by a group of volunteers present on site.

At the end of the period, the students will receive certification from Intercultura of the skills acquired in each phase of the program, which involves a total investment of 140 thousand euros. The boys were awarded during a ceremony introduced by Carlo Pesenti, president of the Pesenti Ets Foundation and Giorgio Barba Navaretti (University of Milan).
