ANCONA The (almost) impossible Serie D mission for Ancona begins today. Tight deadlines, very tight indeed, both for the fourth supernumerary series (main objective) and for the possible loophole of the Excellence. Escape route not attractive but undoubtedly easier to reach. The letter from the FIGC signed by the president Gabriele Gravina arrived yesterday on the table of the mayor Daniele Silvetti and contains indications and obligations to be fulfilled. Without the possibility of error.

The early deadline

By 6pm on July 4th (no longer the 8th but not even the 12th, as had been requested by Palazzo del Popolo) it will be necessary to officially request admission to the D. How? By paying the non-repayable tax pursuant to art. 52 of the Noif which for Ancona was determined to be 400 thousand euros. Then, by 8/7, you will have to complete the registration. If, however, you wanted to opt for the Eccellenza championship, same term (4/7) but amount of 135 thousand euros. The methods are also mandatory: non-transferable cashier’s check made out to the FIGC with the reason in question.

Also by July 4th, the entrepreneur or group wishing to nominate the new company will have to present a series of project requirements considered crucial for the purposes of the evaluation: application for registration with indication of the members (none of these must have been part of the old company in the last 5 years); application for affiliation to the FIGC; a three-year business plan which certifies possession of the organisational, capital and financial requirements to participate in the championship (a treasure of around 1 million and 500 thousand euros); a declaration of compliance with all the requirements for registration in the requested championship. We need a miracle, in such a short time. But Silvetti wants to play it to the end, leaving no stone unturned. There is the need not to waste even a minute.

The announcement

Which is why, this morning, the municipal offices will publish the notice to form the new ownership, to which interested parties will have to respond. They will have to guarantee the ability to comply with the obligations required by the FIGC with an attached protection plan for the youth sector (at least 120 thousand euros required). Registrations by Sunday then, in a couple of days at most, the envelopes will be opened and the recipient will be chosen. For which the Municipality will act as guarantor to the FIGC, evaluating whether to request D or Excellence based on what has been collected. Five or six expressions of interest could be received (two local, not “heavy”) but only three, maximum four, would be the most accredited ones. The Lazio track would have the advantage.

Spa ecological districts

Who is it about? It was difficult to understand before the announcement but the clues – including the rumored mediation of Fifa agent Martone – would lead to the “Distretti Ecologico Spa” of the Passeri family, a Roman company active in the green building, green and sports facilities sector. It has been operating in football for some time as a shareholder or sponsor of clubs such as, for example, Spezia, Ascoli, Salernitana and Grosseto.

Speaking of Ascoli, two months ago, the disengagement with the transfer of 20% shares to Cedibi (it was motivated by too many parallel commitments at that time) remaining with only sponsorship. We will see any developments. Also in the last few hours there have been contacts regarding another potential investor, including with the former sporting director of Lucchese and Treviso Daniele Deoma. A particular intermediary who, perhaps, can leave other scenarios open. The die is cast, time is short.
