Modica mourns the tragic passing of Giovanni Basile, a 36-year-old architect who is well known and respected in the city. Basile lost his life in a devastating road accident occurred in Laplandnorthern region of Finland, where he was on holiday with some friends.
The reconstruction of the accident
According to initial reconstructions, Basile was in a car with two friends, a girl and a boy, when the vehicle collided head-on with a van driven by a woman. The impact was extremely violent and unfortunately for Basile and his friends there was nothing to be done. In addition to the architect from Modica, the driver of the van and the other boy who was traveling in the car also died.
The friend is very serious
The conditions of the friend who was with them are also dramatically serious, hospitalized and fighting between life and death. The dynamics of the accident are not yet clear, but according to initial information it seems that the van driven by the woman suddenly left the road, invading the opposite lane and hitting the car with Basile and his friends on board.
