Ravenna – For its 60th anniversary Lido Adriano in the Municipality of Ravenna is giving itself a new square. The ribbon cutting took place in recent days in the presence of Mayor Michele De Pascale and Tourism Councilor Giacomo Costantini, for the new look of Piazza Vivaldi, after the redevelopment interventions carried out with Pnrr funds amounting to 770,000 euros. An urban regeneration project to create a real cultural hub, ready to host musical and theatrical performances.

“These are very beautiful days for Lido Adriano”, underlines De Pascale – who celebrated his 60th birthday, “since the first master plan that led to its birth dates back sixty years. This new square, completely regenerated thanks to European funds of the Pnrr which will allow us in the coming years to redevelop the entire coastal strip of Ravenna, the largest season of investments in the history of our municipal territory as regards the seaside areas”. In the seaside resort, adds the mayor, “the community is particularly active in filling public spaces”, therefore “this square will be full on summer evenings with people, music and joy, a place that will help attract many tourists and brighten the lives of those who live Lido Adriano all year round”.

The 2,600 square meter area, used as a car park, becomes pedestrian and has been redesigned with natural stone paving to give continuity to the existing porphyry of the seafront pavement. The street-square system will be able to be perceived as a central place with the new stage for concerts, the relaxation area and gathering opportunities on the sea side where conferences, concerts, outdoor screenings, markets and other initiatives can be hosted.

TACTILE PATH IN THE SQUARE TO IMPROVE ACCESSIBILITY FOR USERS WITH VISUAL DISABILITIES

A tactile path has also been inserted in the square to improve accessibility for users with visual disabilities, in compliance with the Lve guidelines.
