Children in the square: the curtain comes down

The concert by Cisco Bellotti, historic frontman of the Modena City Ramblers, brought the curtain down last night on CHILDREN IN THE SQUARE 2024the event that has opened the Teramo summer for seven years.

A closing welcomed with enthusiasm by the hundreds of people who warmed up Piazza Progresso, in San Nicolò a Tordino, singing and dancing to the successes that Cisco included in his “Bringing Everything Back Home Tour”.

CHILDREN IN THE SQUARE this year was packed out every evening: from Wednesday to yesterday the Teramo area hosted magic and soap bubble shows, sports performances, musicals and concerts for adults and children. A rich and varied calendar, completely free, which went hand in hand with the play area set up in the square and the fun activities proposed by animators and entertainers.

There was no lack of solidarity: on Saturday morning the third edition of the Solidarity Marathon took place, which made it possible to raise funds that will be allocated to associations that deal with minors and vulnerable people. Furthermore, last night, before Cisco’s concert, the ASD Sannicolese donated a defibrillator to the hamlet. The precious life-saving tool, which will be placed in the Ernino D’Agostino gardens of the CaFé multicultural center, was delivered on stage to the mayor of Teramo Gianguido D’Alberto.

The CHILDREN IN PIAZZA event was organized by the association Children in Ets squarechaired by Marino Taraschiand from ASD Sannicolesechaired by Tiziano Piccioni.

«It was an extraordinary edition: a success that confirms the validity of this project which we carry forward with enthusiasm and passion. Every year the event grows more and more: we are proud of the results and of being able to offer the area a unique event of its kind, made up of quality events dedicated to adults and children”, comment the organizers who thank the public and private sponsors who contributed to the realization of the event.
