The 1st edition of the NICO PRIZE 2024 was held on Friday 21 June at Palazzo Valentini in Rome.
With the establishment of the NICO PRIZE, the Italian National Olympic Football Team wanted to establish a prestigious recognition to be given to associations, teams, sports and entertainment personalities as well as to institutions that have distinguished themselves, with humility and commitment, in the world of social and of help to others.
The NICO AWARD was presented by the journalist Irene Taurino and by the National President of NICO Italo Lapenna, who also illustrated the Uniti Nel Sociale project.
In this first edition, NICO MARCHE, in the members of the board Veronica Sansuini (Regional President), Daniele Mancioli, Michele Cesari, Andrea Cesari, Erika Marini, Nicoletta Silvi, Jlenia Cori, Maria Barbarisi, had the honor of receiving the prestigious award for the activities carried out in the last year, from the organization of the Apecchio heart match to the numerous events organized for the children of the Salesi hospital and the cardiology department of the Torrette hospital in Ancona.
The Regional President, Veronica Sansuini, declared: “I am proud of this award which crowns a year full of events and satisfactions, but for me and for the entire management of NICO MARCHE this is only a starting point and not a finish line. We are organizing numerous events for next year from the heart match in favor of the Salesi hospital in Ancona to a series of conferences against bullying to be held within schools where students will be able to talk about bullying and their problems directly with the champions of NICO”
Among the numerous other winners, including institutions, civil, military and sports authorities, the Hon. Minister of the Interior Matteo Piantedosi, the Hon. Martina Semenzato, the Hon. Simona Renata Baldassarre, for whom Luca Eberth collected the prize, the President of Opes Juri Morico, the President of the National Observatory against Bullying Luca Massaccesi and of the Campioni di vita project with the Vice President of the same Michele Grillo, the Forensic Criminologist Maria Barbarisi, the President of Adicosp and the Italian National Sports Directors Alfonso Morrone, Brigadier General G. Di F. Antonio Marco Appella Commander of the Fiamme Gialle sports groups, for whom Colonel Edoardo Viti collected the award, the Doctor member of the NICO Orazio De Lellis, the footballer Ubaldo Righetti and the coach Massimo Piscedda; Alessandro Cecchi Paone, Simone Antolini, Carolina Marconi, Antonella Salvucci, Emanuela Tittocchia, Nino Taranto
