When almost half of the sections were counted (26 out of 56) in Caltanissetta in the run-off round for the election as mayor, the centre-right candidate Walter Tesauro was ahead with 55.35% over the centre-left candidate Annalisa Petitto with 44 ,65%. In the capital, the outgoing mayor Roberto Gambino of the M5s, who came third in the first round, had decided not to support either candidate.

In Gela, Terenziano Distefano from the wide field is clearly ahead of Grazia Rita Cosentino from the centre-right. «I am very happy for the success of Terenziano Distefano as the new mayor of Gela. Not only because he was an early autonomist militant, but because I believe he will have the freedom and strength necessary to bring about a turning point in the development of the city, centered on its history, cultural heritage, the richness of the sea and the land and above all on the intelligence and passion of the Gelese people” has already said the former president of the Region Raffaele Lombardo, taking for granted the victory of the candidate of the broad camp, supported by seven lists: Pd, M5s, Autonomisti, Libertà-De Luca Sud calls North, PCI, and two civic ones, A good idea and Maurizio Melfa in Action.

In Pachino, however, only two sections are missing and there is a difference of a few dozen votes between Giuseppe Gambuzza (Forza Italia) and Rosaria Fronterrè (also supported by the DC).
