The counting of ballots for the local elections began at 3pm. Below are the results of the ballots for the municipal elections minute by minute.

3 PM.

3 PM – The polls have closed in the run-off for the election of the new mayor of Cremona. The counting of ballots now begins. The turnout was very low, at 46.65%. Among the sections in which the most votes were received are Capra Plasio, Monteverdi, Anna Frank. Where there were fewer votes there were Itis and Cascinetto.

2.30 PM – There are a total of 76 electoral sections in the Municipality of Cremona. Contending for the seat of mayor are Alessandro Portesani, candidate for the centre-right, and Andrea Virgilio, supported by the centre-left.

Although there are over 56 thousand people entitled to vote (28,821 women and 26,139 men), the turnout in this election round is decidedly low: at 11pm on Sunday only 38.39% of the population appeared to have voted. The last update will be at 3pm, when the polls close.
