Grosseto. The section of the ANPI “Elvio Palazzoli” of Grosseto, Thursday 27 June at 5.30pm, at the “Ciabatti” social promotion center, will carry out its own annual membership party, in conjunction with that of the national Anpi in Bologna, which has as its watchwords: “Let’s create a Constitution”.
“The day will have as its imprint the opposition to the war, or rather the repudiation of the war as article 11 of our anti-fascist Constitution says – explains Romeo Carusipresident of the Grosseto Anpi section –. An invitation to all citizens organized in movements, networks, associations, unions, parishes, committees, to mobilize to reiterate the no to all wars and the no to rearmament, to build a world of peace, security and well-being for all, to ask the institutions Italian and European women to choose the path of peace by committing themselves to immediately cease fire in every part of the world and in particular in Ukraine and Palestine, which are very close to us and which risk causing the conflict to explode on a global level”.
“Let us therefore stop the madness of wars, reverse the trend towards armaments and open diplomatic channels to arrive at a political solution both in Ukraine and in Palestine, safeguarding peace and dedicating resources to humanitarian purposes such as the environment, health, education and work. During the evening, the women’s coordination ‘Licena Rosi Bosch’, of the section, will present anti-war readings, which will be accompanied by musical pieces performed by Elena Fredianelli and Raffaele Boni on guitar – ends Carusi -. War is never a solution and horror, such as the massacre of the civilian population that is being perpetrated in Palestine, must not become a habit. Mobilizing today for peace, for disarmament, for non-violence, means facing the global challenges we face, under penalty of destroying rights, coexistence, democracies and the planet”.
