“First budget” meeting for Social Emergency Response, the active service in the Ats1 territory from 1 April, to protect citizens. This morning the professionals of the Social Territorial Area n. 1 together with those of the “Emanuela Zancan” Foundation (a study, research and experimentation center that has been operating in the field of social policies for sixty years) met in the municipal council room to take stock of the actions carried out so far and to evaluate the next ones that will involve, «A coordinated service – he explains Luca Pandolfi, councilor for social policies – to contain risks, identify first intervention responses and communicate their contents to the competent services, before taking charge”.
Coordinated by the Social Services of the Municipality of Pesaro, the Social Emergency Service was designed in an innovative way. Responds 24 hours a dayincluding holidays, at reports from the policeby the principals hospitals and healthcare of Ats1, ai proximity services of the territory Municipalities of the Territorial Area 1. The establishment of a specific operational center has been envisaged which allows, through the activation of the telephone number, to give timely technical responses to the reporting bodies, such as: first reading of the need identified in the situation of emergency and activation of non-deferrable and urgent interventions; immediate intervention at the location of the report or in the place where the emergency arises; connection with the socio-health resources of the territory; accompaniment in the identified reception facilities as well as promotion of prevention actions with the construction of vulnerability maps of the territory, through the collection of data on social needs. The Social Emergency Response (PRIS) is carried out by a team of social workers who is able to provide an immediate and qualified response to needs that cannot be deferred and not by generic operators: the team also operates with the presence of educators preceding and preparing the actual taking charge, where necessary a further global work plan.
The Service is financed by the Poverty Fund, and was organized thanks to the synergies of Ats1 and the Municipal Social Service, relating to the “Personal and family services” of councilor Luca Pandolfi. The Social Emergency Service (PRIS) is a typical function of the professional social service which, today in Pesaro, boasts the unambiguity of intervention regardless of the activation request time operating continuously 24/7 with qualified personnelwith the immediate activation of urgent interventions.
