voting continues until 3pm to vote for the mayors

The challenges in Perugia, Foligno, Gubbio, Orvieto and Bastia

Administrative elections 2024. There are 235 thousand Umbrian voters called to the polls to decide the mayor in the run-off in the cities of Perugia, Foligno, Gubbio, Bastia Umbra and Orvieto.

Regarding turnout, the day began with lower numbers compared to the first survey of the previous electoral round. In Perugia at 12pm yesterday 15.54% of those entitled to vote had voted, in Foligno 14.19%, in Gubbio 10.92%, in Bastia Umbra 13.61%, in Orvieto 15.6%.

Then the turnout started to rise. The survey at 7pm places Perugia at 38.10%, Foligno records 33.51% of turnouts, Gubbio 31.35%, Bastia Umbra 33.68%, Orvieto 37.13.

In any case, at 11pm last night, 46.53% had voted in the five municipalities of Umbria.
These are the data for the individual municipalities: Perugia 48.58%, Foligno 43.72%, Gubbio 41.29%, Bastia Umbra 44.45%, Orvieto 48.82%.
The figure at the regional level in Umbria of 46.5% goes well beyond the Italian 37% and above all it was found as the highest figure among all the regions of the country.

Ballot in Perugia, the final between Ferdinandi and Scoccia: the game is wide open in a city split in two. Who will be the first mayor in history in the capital? Hunt for the undecideds in the first round who could shift the balance. But participation remains the great unknown.

It is taken for granted that the game in most cases is played on turnout.
