Convicted and expelled in Campania, he returns to Italy and settles in Trentino-Alto Adige: fugitive arrested in Merano

End of fugitive for a man, an Albanian citizen, sentenced to two years and two months in prison for several apartment burglaries committed in Southern Italy. He was arrested on the night of 16 June by the soldiers of the Merano carabinieri station, at the end of an in-depth investigation in the city of Passirio since 2020.

The sentence imposed on the man is already definitive and an arrest order issued by the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of Nocera Inferiore, in the province of Salerno, hung over his head. From what emerged in the investigations that then led to the man’s trial and conviction, he was known in the provinces of Naples, Salerno and Benevento for his extreme ability to perpetrate residential burglaries. After 2019, the year of his first conviction and his expulsion from the national territory, the arrested person returned to Italy, to Merano, in 2020. The operation, masterfully conducted in the middle of the night, made it possible to bring the subject who, upon the unexpected visit of the military, was unable to do anything but hand himself over to the police without putting up any resistance and was accompanied to prison in Bolzano.
