Appreciation to the team of the first departure led by the head of the Corona department, who avoided a real disaster in the city center with the fire that “attacked” the external façades of some buildings. The first huge fire developed from the hill behind the Promenade and the Anas offices in via Passeggiata Archeologica, and in a short time, the very high flames burned brushwood, trees, olive trees and various vegetation.
The fire approached two hotels and Villa Genuardi threateningly, being blocked in time. Not far away, last night, a brush fire that broke out a few meters from the Morandi bridge created chaos in Solferino and Dante streets. A car and a caravan parked in a condominium square were engulfed in fire. The firefighters arrived immediately and entered from different paths and stopped the advance of the fire.
And the firefighters prevented another fire from reaching the internal perimeter of a company in via Sirio in Villaggio Moses, a few steps from the fruit and vegetable market. Dry grass, a pile of rubbish and a part of the land where materials were piled up were in smoke.
