It’s no mystery that sporting director Giovanni Manna likes Mason Greenwood. The crystal-clear striker relaunched himself at Getafe after accusations of domestic violence and rape which had obviously slowed down his rise at Old Trafford. Both Juventus and Lazio follow him: it represents an opportunity. United decided not to continue with him despite the charges being dropped by his girlfriend (with whom he later got back together, the couple had a son) and the contract expiring in 2025 requires an immediate transfer. The Englishmen’s moves will be monitored carefully: it is probably Osimhen’s last chance to perform in the Premier League.

Napoli have made contact with Manchester United over a possible deal for Mason Greenwood. Aged 22, he is expected to leave the Premier League club for good this summer after spending the season on loan at Getafe in Spain. His form has impressed in La Liga where he has scored 10 goals in 34 appearances.
Greenwood could be the Napoli striker called upon to replace Victor Osimhen next season. Actually Greenwood is typically a right wing and therefore he would be the natural replacement for Politano, but he has already shown that he knows how to play in the role as a central striker or as a left winger.
Getafe would like a second loan, but United would like a transfer, but if it doesn’t come an acceptable offer would be taken into consideration and also the loan. His current contract expires in June 2025 and includes a one-year extension option that can be activated if the club decides to do so.
