Ribbon cutting for the basketball court – L’Aquila

AVEZZANO. Work completed on the 3×3 basketball court built inside the northern pine forest, in the area in front of the Pala winner team. The ribbon cutting is scheduled for next Wednesday at 6.30pm. The sports facility will be used mainly for basketball, i.e. for games with teams of three players each, according to the US model.
However, thanks to the structures and mobile networks, young people will also be able to try their hand at five-a-side football, soccer and pickleball, a new emerging racket discipline. And not only. Boys and girls will also be able to try football-tennis and mini-football.
«The basketball court is a multipurpose structure, a real sports area, for young and very young people», explains the councilor Concetta Balsorio, which followed the progress of the works, «which will be able to offer alternatives to children to spend their free time in the name of sport and healthy fun. The complete redevelopment of the Pala winner team area is also nearing completion”, concludes Balsorio, “where it will be possible to dedicate oneself to various sports and fitness disciplines”.
