Forty-eight year old hit in the head with an ax by his father-in-law. There was a risk of tragedy in a house in Raffadali where there was a family argument and where the 48-year-old worker was seriously injured. The carabinieri and the 118 health workers intervened promptly, averting the worst. The latter transferred the injured man to the emergency room of the San Giovanni di Dio hospital in Agrigento. The police instead stopped the sixty-year-old, the worker’s father-in-law. Yesterday, the man’s position was still being examined by the deputy prosecutor on duty, holder of the investigation file immediately opened.

It seems that relations between father-in-law and son-in-law were decidedly agitated in recent times. The doctors, after all the health checks, have released the prognosis for the man’s life: he has suffered a serious head injury, but fortunately his life is not in danger.
It seems – but there is no institutional confirmation in this regard – that the police have not found the ax used in the attack on the 48-year-old.
