The Gualdese community is still shocked by the tragic death of Catia Calisti in the tragic front yesterday afternoon (22 June) on New Flaminiaimmediately after the Gaifana junction.




The accident, around 3.40pm, involved two cars, causing the death of 57 year old resident in Gualdo Tadino and well known in the city – and the wounding of two other women.

The Gaifana Fire Brigade team worked for extract the two occupants of the Toyota Yaris stuck between the sheets of metal, then entrusted to the care of the 118 health workers present on site. They are mother and daughter – 70 years old and 50 years old – both from Rome: the first was transported to the Branca hospital, the second to the Foligno facility.

Originally from the hamlet of Grello, Catia Calisti she has had a passion for music since she was a child. She is an appreciated singer, she even made her debut on Rai with Pippo Baudo on “Fantastico”, in 1985. After her television success she opened her own school and even today she was an esteemed teacher at the Storelli institute.
