Official, Leonardo Sarto at Mogliano

MOGLIANO VENETO – Mogliano Veneto Rugby announces that it has successfully concluded the negotiations to bring the expert attacking midfielder/winger into the white-blue squad for the next 2024/25 season Leonardo Sarto.

Leonardo Sarto was born in Zevio on 15 January 1992. He plays as a wing midfielder and is 192 cm tall and weighs 95 kg. of weight. Raised in Petrarca, he was part of the Fir Academy of Tirrenia. Leonardo then joined the Zebre franchise, where he remained for 4 seasons (55 caps), before moving to Scotland for 2 years with the Glasgow Warriors (18 appearances).

Brief period with Leicester Tigers and subsequent return to Italy with Benetton Treviso, from which, after 2 seasons and 17 games played, he moved in Rovigo where he made 31 appearances in 3 Championships. In his international career he can boast 8 appearances with the Under 20 national team and 35 caps with the senior team, with which he played the World Cup in 2015.
