works on the stadium completed by 30 September Il Tirreno

CARRARA. From the theme of the stadium to the challenge of Serie B. In a long video interview, published on the YouTube channel of the Diocese of Massa, Carrara and Pontremoli, the CEO Iacopo Pasciuti took stock of the Carrarese situation, in view of the next challenging season . As regards the modernization of the old Marmi di Carrara stadium, the first works to be carried out will concern: the replacement of the pitch (already scheduled regardless of the subsequent promotion to the junior series), the installation of new turnstiles at the entrance of the stadium and the adaptation of the lighting system for television needs. «These – Pasciuti pointed out – will be the main works, which will require more time and more resources». Subsequently, other requirements will be observed that the Serie B League has notified to the club in Piazza Vittorio Veneto: «We will intervene on the structure of the press room, on the changing rooms, on the seats in the stadium and on a whole series of other works that we will define in the coming days in collaboration with the Municipality of Carrara”. The aim is to complete all the necessary works by the end of September, if possible even earlier. The Italian CEO declared: «The mayor (Serena Arrighi ed.) has undertaken to complete the works by September 30th. We hope that this deadline will be respected and, indeed, we will work to ensure that it is brought forward.” In the meantime, as has been known since 11 June, the Arena Garibaldi in Pisa, with open doors, will host Carrarese in their first part of the adventure in the next Serie B. The Arena Garibaldi will host Carrarese’s first matches , starting from the debut in the Italian Cup against Catania on Sunday 4 August. We hope for a short exile, waiting for the restyling work on the Stadio dei Marmi to be finished. In fact, for Serie B the minimum capacity is 5,500 seats. Returning to Iacopo Pasciuti’s statements, the CEO revealed that the company’s staff will be expanded: «Serie B is a demanding championship, so we will structure the staff. We have already identified the areas that will require intervention and we are ready to intervene.” Regarding the transfer market, the focus will be on continuity and confirmation of the group that achieved promotion: «Our idea is to maintain the core of players that allowed us to win the playoffs. Obviously it will be necessary to include functional players, both under and over, to respect the League’s determination regarding the lists”, concluded Pasciuti. We remind you that the Serie B League has formalized the publication date of the 2024/2025 Serie B calendar, with the event to be held in the late afternoon of Wednesday 10 July in La Spezia live on Sky.
