LECCE/BARI – Determined, energetic, cheerful, sensitive, welcoming, with great listening skills and always ready to joke: this and much more has made Stefania Mininni an extraordinary and brilliant magistrate. But unfortunately her qualities were not enough to make her win the battle with a bad disease that began four years ago, and she passed away in the night at the age of 50.
Originally from Bari, she won the competition in the judiciary at a very young age and, after having served in the Modena Prosecutor’s Office, she moved to the ordinary one in Lecce, in the pool of prosecutors specializing in vulnerable groups (therefore in crimes such as family abuse, sexual violence, child pornography ).
Respect for each role has made her a professional loved not only by colleagues, but also by lawyers and journalists.
The magistrates and administrative staff of the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Lecce share with sorrow in his passing and the editorial staff of Lecceprima joins in this sorrow, making the words of the prosecutor Antonio Maruccia their own: “He fought the battles of life with a smile and intelligence. She is serious, prepared and cultured, she will remain in everyone’s memory and in the memory of the institutions for the quality of her work as a magistrate and the kindness of his soul.”
The funeral will be tomorrow, Monday 24 June, at 12pm, in the church of San Ferdinando in via Sparano in Bari. For those who wish to “say goodbye” to her first, the body will be on display today, from 10am to 1pm and from 4pm to 8pm, in funeral center in via Golgota, in Conversano (Bari).
