Pesaro 22 June 2024. The conference “The new frontiers of wine, between culture, tourism and well-being” promoted by the National Association of Women of Wine and the delegation took place this morning in Pesaro, in the splendid setting of Palazzo Ducale, seat of the Prefecture. Marche with the important support of the Region. The Women of Wine were welcomed by the deputy prefect Antonio Angeloni and the deputy mayor of Pesaro Daniele Vimini.

To the provocation launched during the conference by Donatella Cinelli Colombini, past President of Le Donne del Vino as well as founder of the Wine Tourism Movement and creator of Open Cellars: «The tourist is an unfaithful lover and must be conquered» replies Andrea Maria Antonini, Councilor for Agriculture and Economic Development of the Marche Region: «The Marche region has all the cards in order. Therefore, it is very important to do great team work, each one respecting their own role, to transform a region that still has so much to say and tell, we have a great strength that lies precisely in our biodiversity from the native vines that can create territorial identity and in the offer of companies and wineries”.

The conference, moderated by the journalist Agnese Testadiferro, then saw the interventions of Daniela Mastroberardino, president of the National Association of Women of Wine who illustrated the value of the Culture of Wine to be passed down to the new generations: «A convention – added the president – which led us to discover the Marche, the region you don’t expect for its wine, gastronomic and artistic excellence. This is the strength of many Italian territories and we women of wine, through our professionals, our networking, our attention to diversification, are protagonists and bring a thought that is a harbinger of change for new and important successes for Italian wine”.

Other interventions by: Valerio Temperini, UNIVPM Professor, “G.Fuà” Faculty of Economics, Management Department; Gianni Sagratini, UNICAM professor of food chemistry, responsible for the degree course in Gastronomic Sciences; Donatella Cinelli Colombini, past president of Le Donne del Vino, founder of the Wine Tourism Movement and creator of Open Cellars and Anna di Martino, journalist.

The conference is included in the dense program of the 2024 national convention of Le Donne del Vino which is underway in an itinerant way in the Marche with the theme “The Marche, you will discover them endlessly”.

Hospitality and organization are provided by the Marche delegation of Le Donne del Vino led by Daniela Sorana and the deputy delegates Nazzarena Togni Ceci and Stefania Palazzesi.

The morning opened with the notes of Gioacchino Rossini thanks to the performance of the pianist Elisa Cerri and the soprano Giulia Silvestri, both from the Olimpia Orchestra.

A talk explored the future prospects for the wine supply chain through interventions by Apra, Enartis, Grafiche Federighi, Enovetro, Amorin Cork Italia and Bper.
Also taking part in the room among the over 150 Women of Wine who came from all over Italy were Alessandra Boldreghini, Councilor for Tourism in the Municipality of Morro d’Alba, the deputy mayor of the Municipality of Appignano Stefano Montecchiarini, Federico Castellucci, president of Confagricoltura Marche and Arianna Bottin regional delegate for Young Enterprises Coldiretti.
