This evening a new venue was inaugurated in Gioiosa Marea, “Joyful Sicily”. The initiative was born from the collaboration between the entrepreneur originally from Ficarra, Chiara Messina, and the joyful Salvatore Lamonica. The restaurant has opened its doors to the citizens of Gioiosa Marea and guests from other locations, offering a wide selection of culinary delicacies.
Among the specialties offered, the sandwiches stand out, each characterized by unique ingredients and authentic flavours.
The “Salina” is prepared with cooked ham, provola and caper pâté. The “Vulcano” combines Sant’Angelo salami, canestrato, mushrooms in oil and dried tomatoes. The “Lipari” includes donkey mortadella, provola and pistachio pesto. “Stromboli” is made up of coppa, primo sale and dried tomatoes. The “Filicudi” features bacon, provola and onion cream. “Alicudi” offers speck, provola, pistachio pesto and dried tomatoes. The “Panarea” combines pancetta, primo sale, wild fennel pesto. Finally, the “Sicilia Gioiosa” sandwich combines raw ham, provola, pistachio pesto and chopped grains.
In addition to sandwiches, “Joyful Sicily” offers a selection of preserves, honey, wines, liqueurs, craft beer, cured meats and cheeses, all strictly locally produced.
