Mild seismic tremors off the coast between Pesaro and Ancona.
The earthquakes, with a magnitude less than three, occurred between the night and morning of Saturday 22 June with an epicenter at sea. The seismographs of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology detected the first shock, of magnitude 2.8, with its epicenter in the sea, 10 kilometers deep.
The earthquake occurred at 02:31 27 kilometers from Fano and 37 from Ancona, in front of the coast between Fano and Torrette di Fano. During the night another 5 light tremors affected the area but all of lower magnitude. The one with the highest magnitude, 2.7, occurred at 06:55 off the coast of Pesaro, 27 km from Fano and 39 from Ancona. The epicenter 8 kilometers deep.
None of the tremors, being of very low magnitude, were felt by the population.
