The traditional and evocative Procession on the navigable canal in Fiumicino will close the celebrations in honor of the Madonna Stella Maris, protector of the Lido del Faro and fishermen, on Sunday 23 June. After the many attendances on the first two days, on Saturday evening, again in the context of the Street food, the Fishing with prizes, the market, on the stage in Viale delle Meduse, at 9pm, the music and songs of Renato Zero will be the protagonists with the concert tribute of “Icarus” .
Tomorrow, at the end of the 5.30pm Mass, the Sacred Image of the Madonna will be in SOLEMN PROCESSION along the streets and will then be embarked on a unit of the Port Authority of Rome on the Fossa Traianea (the navigable canal), for the blessing at the port, to the city, the faithful and the fishermen, with the throwing of a laurel wreath.
The Councilor for Culture and Sport, Federica Poggio, will be present, representing the Municipality of Fiumicino, as well as other military, religious and civil authorities. The musical accompaniment will be by the Fiumicino Pro Loco musical band.
Grand finale tomorrow evening, at 9pm, with the band “Luca Vicari & Anime Latine” with the concert dedicated to Lucio Battisti, before the lottery ticket draw with 1st prize a holiday for two people in Sardinia.
