With all the obvious differences of the case, however, the first concert at the Maradona stadium showed how Geolier is the Pino Daniele of his generation, that is, he who, at a very young age, followed the Neapolitan rap scene which has always, in waves, had its own national relevance and then surpassed everyone. As the concert went on we realized how many instant classic of rap he has achieved in recent years: a setlist made up of hits, including bangers and more melodic songs, with four blocks and as many costume changes, and also a stage for special occasions, which the rapper crossed far and wide, and also up and down thanks to the moving platforms who sometimes took it so high that you could see the effect of a full stadium in every seat. And although we’re talking about rap, flow, technique, and not melodic pop, the audience accompanied the singer, as far as possible, with some singalongs (sic).

The stadium was also an opportunity to talk a little about ourselves, the show was built with some spoken inserts, which were added to the videos that entertained the public between one block and another. Geolier greeted his ex, Valeria D’Agostino, on Yes, that’s you (“Our love is over but love never ends”), has repeatedly promised his audience not to change (“I want to make you a promise: I WILL NEVER CHANGE, GUAGLIÙ. For a simple reason, we have never had all this, so it doesn’t matter if we lose it, it doesn’t scare us. You make me a promise, however, when one day I make a mistake you have to scold me like you do with children, because I am your child”), he harangued the crowd several times with the defense of the city, echoing one of the chants of Napoli, champions of Italy.

Geolier also apologized to the Orchestra after “Maradona”: “Sorry teachers, we’re being rude” and got into the controversy over rap lyrics: “In recent months I have received a lot of criticism to which I have never responded and I will respond, because criticism is always there. What I want to say to those who justify evil and hatred with rap, however, is not to take away the power to talk about our good and our evil. No one can blame rap if bad things happen, we tell, we have no responsibility to educate, we tell what happened in our family or street, because music saved us from the street. Don’t take seriously the people who say we are evil, don’t take away the artists’ ability to tell stories”.

And Geolier told and told himself, and will do so again in 2025, always live. The rapper, in fact, at the end of the concert announced a concert at the Agnano Hippodrome which will be held on 25 July 2025, because evidently there is still a piece of its story to tell.
