Bisceglie hosts DigithON: digital marathon in September – Pugliapress

The key phrase “DigithON returns to Puglia” kicks off our coverage of one of the most anticipated competitions in the Italian technological panorama. From 5 to 7 September, the Old Sawmills of Bisceglie will be the stage for the ninth edition of DigithON, the digital marathon that will see the best Italian startups compete.

Until June 30, young companies will be able to apply for the chance to enter the top 100 of the selected projects, offering a fresh and innovative look at the future of the technology sector. The creator and founder of DigithON, Francesco Boccia, underlined during the press conference the importance of the focus on artificial intelligence, a central theme for the second consecutive year.

The competing startups will present artificial intelligence projects applied to different sectors: from healthcare to finance, from agribusiness to e-commerce and logistics. Boccia invited participants to dare, underlining the presence of investors ready to support the most innovative ideas, as well as the support of the excellent Apulian universities and an impartial scientific committee.

Artificial intelligence is changing our lives, improving them, but it also presents new risks that need to be evaluated,” declared Boccia, urging greater audacity on the part of young entrepreneurs. He also expressed hope for a strong and innovative Europe, capable of competing with the United States and China, often pioneers of innovation.

Sergio Fontana, president of Confindustria Bari and BAT, emphasized the importance of rewarding human capital willing to get involved, reiterating the concrete support that DigithON offers to participants. In addition to the competition, the public will be able to participate in debates and meetings with leading figures from the world of institutions, culture and business.

DigithON returns to Puglia with the aim of discovering and promoting the talents of tomorrow, helping to build an increasingly advanced and sustainable technological future.
