The municipal and regional councilor of the League, Daniele Marchetti, urges the Local Health Authority on the management of waiting lists. “The deadline imposed by the Region on the health authorities expires on 30 June, a deadline which should put an end to the phenomenon of closed agendas – reconstructs Marchetti –. A first commitment achieved thanks to our incessant battle waged in the legislative assembly. Now, however, the ASL of Imola explain to the citizens how it intends to act”.
The healthcare company has already called a press conference dedicated to the topic of waiting lists (there is an extraordinary plan for their reduction which, thanks to an additional 765 thousand euros, will lead to an increase of almost 26 thousand services) next week.
“I hope that this will be an opportunity to make the entire system of governing the waiting lists as clear as possible – adds Marchetti –, making known the rights that each citizen who requests, for example, a service specialist”.
According to what was reconstructed by the Northern League member, among the new features introduced, in fact, are the so-called pre-lists. “A proposal that we have been putting forward since 2021, primarily with a bill presented for my first signature – continues Marchetti – and, more recently, with our policy act which was approved by the entire Regional Council. These tools should make stop that unacceptable ‘try again later’ lottery, in the hope of finding a free place in the shortest time possible”.
Now the ball passes to the local health authority. “We can only hope that the promises made after years of battles do not remain on paper – concludes the representative of the Northern League – and that the greatest possible clarity and transparency is guaranteed”.
