EY doubles in Emilia and opens in Reggio

EY doubles in Emilia-Romagna: the Bologna office is joined by that of Reggio Emilia, inaugurated on Thursday at the Innovation Park (formerly Officine Reggiane). Ernst and Young, a giant in auditing and accounting organization services, plants its second flag “in an area with exceptional entrepreneurial capabilities” says Gianluca Focaccia, EY manager for the Emilia-Romagna and Marche area. “Here you can breathe a different energy – he adds – and this is why we want to continue to give our point of view together with Way srl”. The team of 40 employees of the new Reggio Emilia office is in fact balanced between the staff of EY and that of Way, a Reggio Emilia company acquired by EY in 2022 and founded by Roberto Piuca, now a partner of the office at the Innovation Park together with Marco Menabue of EY. “Our ambition – they explain – is to reach around thirty new hires over the next 24 months”. New faces who will implement the skills of a young and prepared team (80% under 30), reaching a total of 200 employees in the Bologna and Reggio offices. “The three areas of Parma, Reggio and Modena together have a potential that is even slightly higher than that of Bologna – specifies Menabue –. Reggio is therefore a starting point for us to be able to grow”. And for Paolo Zocchi (EY Private Leader of EY in Italy) the real key is precisely “physical proximity to companies”. “Today companies are facing many challenges and the main ones are three – he explains –. Digital transformation, sustainability and generational transition: the latter can prove to be very delicate”.
