Yesterday morning, June 20th, the Commander of the Carabinieri Legion “Piedmont and Valle D’Aosta”, Brigadier General Antonio Di Stasioin view of his next transfer to General Command as Commander of the IV Department (which deals with the logistical management of the entire force) met with a large representation of Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Asti and a delegation from Asti Section of the National Association of Carabinieri on Leave.

During the meeting with the staff, General Di Stasio expressed his esteem and gratitude for the work of the soldiers from Asti who he wanted to thank individually. Highlighting the fundamental role and relevance of the service that each carabiniere carries out for the entire community entrusted to him, he also highlighted the importance of pouring maximum enthusiasm and commitment into daily activities, underlining how, in the years of his service and in the various demanding roles he held (among the most important and significant Provincial Commander of Palermo, Commander of the 8th Regiment of Rome, Commander of the Carabinieri Companies of Portogruaro and Foggia, Commander of the Operational Intervention Company of Bari, significant experiences at the General Headquarters of the Force where he held the roles of Head of the Union Relations and Section Representation Office and Section Head in the Legislation Offices; Operations; Plans and Military Police and Logistics), he was always able to find stimuli and satisfaction, thus managing to “have fun” in carrying out their work. Passion was the distinctive feature and the spark that animated his professional life and he wished everyone present to be able to find the same satisfaction in their daily activities.

The Provincial Commander of Asti, Colonel Paolo Lando, thanked the general on behalf of all the Carabinieri of the province for the human trait and closeness always shown, as well as for the particular attention and dedication shown towards all the personnel and their families. In wishing him the best professional and personal wishes, knowing his passion for History, he paid homage to the High Officer of the prestigious publication “Il Giornale d’Asti” of the chaplain Stefano Giuseppe Incisa, published by Society of Astesi Studies, which integrate with news articles all the salient events of Asti society since 1776.
