The Civic Museums have acquired a new graphic design, to enhance and boost the image of the Parma museum network. The presentation this morning, in the Hall of Representatives in the Town Hall, by the Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Culture and Tourism Lorenzo Lavagetto, Silvana Randazzo, Head of the Museum System Operational Structure, and Manuela Calderini, Head of the Casa della Musica Operational Structure.

To underline the multiplicity and richness of the city’s museums and their collections, which represent a heritage of art, memory and Parma tradition that belongs to the community, the graphic design was entrusted to Areaitalia which, conceptually starting from the “P” of Parma 2020 -21, created a synergy of shapes with the “M” of civic museums, reinterpreting and duplicating horizontally and in a mirrored manner the background which also contains the logo of each individual museum.

For the first time, all the Civic Museums, the Camera di San Paolo, the Stuard Art Gallery, the Puppet Castle-Giordano Ferrari Museum, the Casa del Suono, the Opera Museum and the Arturo Toscanini Birthplace, are indicated in a concrete manner by a coordinated image and described together in a brochure that will be distributed free of charge at the IAT and in individual museums.

The two iconic letters P and M, Parma and the museums intended for its community, move, color and fit together, giving life to a structure that manages to bring together the different experiences, a place in movement, the container of a multiple cultural offer .

“This is not just a formal aspect” – the Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Culture and Tourism Lorenzo Lavagetto underlines – “we want to continue to underline the energetic, lively and inclusive nature of the entire civic museum system of Parma which today presented new tools, but which has also appropriated a vision of organic service and tries every day to respond to the needs of the public and to create adequate communication as a business card for the places of beauty and wonder that it preserves and wants to animate as much as possible “.
