Agreement for healthcare workers, Tonina: “The economic part is good, now we’re working on the legal part.” The councilor for health, social policies and cooperation Mario Tonina expresses satisfaction with the agreement recently reached within APRAN with all the trade union organizations representing healthcare workers, with which the foundations have been laid for an important economic recognition starting from the year 2024 on the table salary and compensation items.
“It is by starting from the valorization of the personnel who work in healthcare that we can guarantee a quality public service that responds promptly to needs: citizens must be able to rely on our professionals with confidence. I thank the delegation that conducted the negotiations and the trade union organizations for understanding how the Council made an important effort, which led to positive results. Now I have given a mandate to work on the legal part, for an update on the professional system which is suffering from regulatory obsolescence. Furthermore, with the 2024 assessment which will open in July, equal arrears will be guaranteed on the appropriate items starting from the years 2022 and 2023″.
In particular, the agreement guarantees the tabular increase of 6.33% when fully operational from 2024 – equal on average to around 150 euros gross per month – as well as the updating of the ancillary treatment: specific nursing allowance, allowance for the protection of sick, ambulance drivers, prompt availability, compensation for services provided in the intensive, sub-intensive, infectious diseases, geriatrics, home care and Sert departments, shift representatives for Centrals 116-117 and emergency 118, social workers, recalls into service. The contract concerns nursing, technical, social health, administrative and operational staff.
