After the well-attended vernissage last Saturday in Busto Arsizio at Palazzo Marliani Cicogna, Elena Rizzardi’s exhibition “Fiber4Planet” continues until July 14th with summer opening hours and in-depth events.

The exhibition at the Museum is divided into two sections which offer works and large suspended installations: a fascinating journey into the future of the planet, from the Great Green Wall supported by the UN and present in the 2030 agenda (a reforestation line that crosses Africa creating conditions for the development of villages in one of the driest areas of the planet), to the Green City, the City that favors Nature at the center of technological progress.

The exhibition will remain open during summer evening hours from 6pm to 10pm (Saturday from 5.30pm, excluding Monday); Furthermore, the curator Carla Tocchetti is present on Friday mornings from 9am to 1pm.

The first in-depth event will take place on Saturday 22 June at 6.00 pm: inspired by the theme of the Venice Biennale “Foreigners Everywhere”, the Serbian Aleksandra Damnjanovicwriter and author of international projects and competitions for schools, Lugano people of Persian origin Nasser and Yugo Pejman promoters of international literary events, Jane Bowie, an all-round artistic sensibility for theater matured in the climate of Edinburgh, Scotland, and Hamilca Ismaellecturer and writer of Mozambican origin.

Each guest will tell, focusing on their own creativity, in particular that linked to the word – from literature, to poetry, to conferences, to theater – how a way of expressing oneself and strengthening positive bonds has emerged in a territory different from that of origin.

Moderated by the poet and writer from Legnano Rosa Gallace, international ambassador for art and poetry, the guests of the Bustocca round table, entitled “Foreigners Hereand Everywhere”, will tell how their cultural project was the seed that opened up new possibilities for sharing and dialogue. The event will be held on the floor of Palazzo Marliani Cicogna, in the historic Don Rossi room on the second floor of the museum with free entry.

The second in-depth study will be held on Friday 5 July at 8.00 pm: “The magic of the scene. Franca Squarciapino, a life for art”, a presentation of the work of Franca Squarciapino, in conversation with Paolo Aquilini. It will be an opportunity to learn about the work of the talented theater costume designer of Roman origin, whose costumes are like works of fiber art, even awarded with an Oscar plus other prestigious international awards including Nafta, Baff and Nastri d’Argento.
