The public notice announced by the Metropolitan City of Reggio Calabria for companies operating in the tourism sector interested in participating in the B2B workshops with national and international buyers scheduled for June 29th as part of the memorandum of understanding for the creation of joint tourism promotion initiatives for the Strait area.
THE buyers specially selected in collaboration with the Municipality of Messina, also based on the flight schedule of the Tito Minniti Airport of Reggio Calabria, they will participate in advance in an educational tour in the Metropolitan Area of the Strait (City of Messina and Metropolitan City of Reggio Calabria). The Metropolitan City of Reggio Calabria will make a duly set up room available for a meeting of the companies in the tourism sector of the Metropolitan City with the buyers present. A maximum of 20 companies will be admitted, with registered office in the Metropolitan City, which will be able to take part in the workshop free of charge. Among the activities sought are hotel and non-hotel accommodation facilities with 3-4-5 star hotels and medium and superior B&Bs with a minimum accommodation capacity of 10 beds, associations operating in the tourism sector, tourist consortia, travel agencies and tour operators carrying out activities of incoming.
The application for participation, to be drawn up on the appropriate form attached to the notice, must be received by 24 June 2024 exclusively by PEC, to the address [email protected] reporting in the subject “Expression of interest Workshop b2b Strait Meeting”. In the meantime, preparations for the long-awaited Meeting continue. After the presentation held in the municipal headquarters of Palazzo Zanca in Messina, the Metropolitan City and the Municipality of Reggio Calabria contacted the representatives of the Reggio Calabria tourist operators to guarantee the widest participation of the professionals.
Councilor Giovanni Latella, fresh from his trip to Messina together with his fellow metropolitan councilor and mayor of Palmi Giuseppe Ranuccio, among the promoters of institutional collaboration between the two sides of the Strait, affirmed the need “to pay the right attention, also in media terms, to a particularly important event in the historical phase that characterizes the area of Reggio Calabria and Messina”. “We are certain that our operators will be able to seize the great opportunity we are offering by participating in the meeting – added Latella – for a project which, in line with the programmatic guidelines of Mayor Falcomatà, aims to achieve a dual objective. On the one hand an increasingly close and profitable synergy with the Sicilian side of the Strait, on the other an international tourist showcase for buyers who will come to visit us in the next few days and will be able to direct important tourist flows in the months and years to come” .
