The negotiation that should have brought Andrea Belotti to wear the Como shirt seemed to have stalled. Until this morning the rumors spoke of a Gallo who was far from convinced to accept the transfer to the lake shore. The former Turin striker would in fact have preferred to continue his career in a club that competes in European cups: it is no coincidence that there had been talk of an interest from Bologna but also of a possible return to Florence. None of this, as the latest news talks about an openness from Belotti to the possibility of wearing the Como shirt next season.

According to what was reported by Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport, in fact, it seems that the Gallo has given availability for permanent transfer to the newly promoted club in Serie A. Como’s interest has become increasingly concrete in recent days and now it seems that the negotiation could take the right path.

For the Lombards it would be the first transfer market coup after conquering the top flight. The return to Serie A after 21 years since the last participation has sparked the enthusiasm of the fans, who now dream of a high-level squad to be able to maintain the category. Belotti probably decided to open for Como also due to the presence of Cesc Fabregasthe manager who guided the club to a fantastic promotion last season.

The Roma-owned striker has spent the last few months on loan at Fiorentina. Not an exciting adventure for the Rooster in the purple shirt: in 24 appearances for president Rocco Commisso’s club, only 4 goals were scored, of which 3 in the championship and one in the Conference League. In the first part of the season Belotti didn’t find much space with Mourinho, even though in the 22 appearances he made he scored six goals.

The days of Torino seem far away, when Gallo managed to regularly finish his seasons in double figures. The 30-year-old is looking for redemption and Como’s proposal may really be the right one: its opening could soon lead to white smoke. Nothing to do, therefore, for Parma, the other newly promoted team that had knocked on Roma’s door to ask for information on the player.
