Over 1300 registered for the Pistoia-Abetone which will present many routes and multiple initiatives surrounding the main event
All ready for the start 47th Pistoia-Abetone. There’s only one week left until50 km ultramarathon which on Sunday 30 June will represent the flagship event for some of the best national runners and none. The start is scheduled for 7.30am from Piazza del Duomo, from which the climb towards Abetone will begin. At the moment there are around 1300 registered people, but the quota is destined to increase as it will be possible to register until Sunday 23rd. «Thanks – he says Guido Amerini, president of the Asd Silvano Fedi, one of the organizing bodies – goes to him over 400 volunteers who gave us a huge hand in the organization. There will be five routes you can take, each with a different level of difficulty. Of course there is the “real” race, the one on distance of 50 kmbut it shouldn’t be underestimated either 30 km arriving in San Marcello. For those who want to take a walk here is the walk Free Walking, starting from San Marcello and arriving in Abetone, which will cover a distance of 20 km. Then space for night trekking, lasting 8 hours and with night departure, and al Fourth Milestone. The latter is a date reserved for athletes with disabilities, together with their companions, and will be 3 km long with departure scheduled in Le Regine. Quarto Traguardo represents one of the most anticipated events of the event, for the social value it conceals within itself and for the message of social inclusion and participation that accompanies sport.
During the presentation conference of the event, held at the new headquarters of the ASD Silvano Fedi in Viale Adua, a murals created by the students of the class 3E of the Brunelleschi Art School of Montemurlo.
