in Taranto the presentation of the essay that inaugurates new study paths on twentieth-century literature – Vita Web TV

Thursday 27 June, at 6.30 pm, at Conference room from the Bank of Bari and Tarantoin Via Berardi n° 31, the essay will be presented for the first time in Taranto and after the success in Grottaglie On the shores of Magna Graecia – The twentieth century by Spagnoletti, Carrieri, Grisi and the others, 2nd edition, Passerino Publisher.

The event, totally freeis organized by Books and Bags bookshop (Scorpione editore) and will represent an opportunity to immerse yourself in the history of twentieth-century literature of the South and of all those territories that once constituted Magna Graecia, with particular attention, for the occasion, to tarantino.

Today more than ever it is necessary to rethink the literary history of our nation through a truly unified approachwhich does not stop at the usual Pirandello – Deledda – Quasimodo triad for the twentieth century, but opens up to all those authors from the South who have made a significant contribution to the literary production of the last century.

Where, then, are the southern male and female writers who characterized the literary twentieth century? Not in the manuals. For this reason, On the shores of Magna Graecia – The twentieth century by Spagnoletti, Carrieri, Grisi and the others constitutes an exception in the Italian publishing panorama, an anti-manual.

The essay, available in both paper and ebook, traces the most recent literary history of the South through a unique magnifying glass: belonging to Magna Graecia. Rediscover a land to rediscover it multiple and composite identityto rediscover oneself between memories and stories, between collective history and memories.

The authors covered in the essay:

Spagnoletti, Careers, Grisi, Fornaro, Short, Quasimodo, Pierri, Savages, Theban,
Pinto, Viola, De Giorgio, Rasulo, Beautiful, Pavese, Alvaro, Scotellaro, Sinisgalli, Levi, Rinaldi, Riviello, Pasolini, Calabrò, Pastures, Parrella, D’Arrigo, Little ones, Germans, Cat, Rio, Valentine, Buttitta And Lippo.

Finally, there is no shortage of references to leading intellectuals of the Italian literary scene such as Sciascia, Palazzeschi, Flora, Binni, Dante Alighieri, Serao, Bellonci and many others.
