“Da Margherita” celebrates the Music Festival today: concerts, vintage market and vinyl records, all starting from 6pm

Having archived the evening in the company of the national football team, with a massive presence of an audience of all ages which made the historic garden of Catanzaro even more evocative, da Margherita is preparing to celebrate the Music Festival with a day full of activities.

In Villa Margherita this evening, from 8 pm, a long live marathon will open with the Tchaikovsky jazz quartet, a formation born among students of the Conservatory, the result of the now multi-year collaboration between the Catanzaro Jazz Fest and the Tchaikovsky Conservatory. Following, at 9.15pm, again thanks to the consolidated synergy with the CJF, the gazebo of the villa will be the magical location of the Dave Howard Initiative Europe, a quartet composed of Dave Howard, guitar – Sal Urzino, saxophone and Ewi – Frank Marino, bass – Maurizio Mirabelli, drums. The group is led by a sensitive and exciting musician, influenced by the great artists of jazz, blues and funk who, after 35 years as a teacher at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, has chosen to live in Calabria. It will be a true immersion in contemporary fusion sounds.

Completing the lineup, at 10.45pm, will be Zingarua: an Apulian trio made up of Emanuele Calvosa (trumpet), Gino Semeraro (guitar) and Antonio De Marianis (drums). Their show is pure energy, thanks to the union of live sound with electronics. A mixed repertoire of unreleased and traditional songs ranging from Gipsy Balkan to world music for a concert to dance to.

The Music Festival will open, as early as 6pm, with the themed workshop for parents with children aged 0-3 years organized by Kyosei. Among the paths of Villa Margherita you can visit the stands dedicated to the world of vintage and crafts, books and vinyl, with many special goodies for collectors and enthusiasts, thanks to the union between Calabria Vintage Market and Simply Dischi.
