Robberies and injuries in the Castle Park and Collemaggio: 5 precautionary measures – L’Aquila

THE EAGLE. The Carabinieri of L’Aquila carried out five precautionary measures issued by the court against as many Egyptians, between 19 and 25 years old, who are accused in various capacities of having carried out two robberies against a Tunisian minor, who was robbed in total , just over 100 euros. Two of the suspects ended up in prison, while the other three were banned from staying in the entire province.

The disputed episodes date back to 9 April (in the Collemaggio area) and 15 May (in the Castello Park area) and saw the use of edged weapons and sticks. On the last occasion, a security guard who had intervened to defend the victim was also attacked and injured. Some of the foreigners targeted by the measures have tried to escape the measures by moving away to nearby provinces, even outside the region.

The searches of those arrested led to the finding and seizure of a baseball bat and a toy gun without a red cap. About ten grams of hashish were also seized, probably intended for sale. For this reason, two of the suspects must also answer for possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.

Thanks to the investigations, the investigators were able to reconstruct, also through numerous testimonies and images from the surveillance circuits, the two episodes of robbery in which the victim was allegedly hit by three blows, one on the wrist, one on the shoulder and one on the side. The stab wounds caused only minor wounds, which healed without having to resort to medical treatment. The synergy between the Carabinieri and the Public Prosecutor’s Office was important for the success of the operation.
