Samir murder in Palermo, the witness points the finger at the two Tunisians

«At the beginning, relations with the Elabed family were cordial, then the disagreements began. They had to object to everything, we tried to avoid it but they were often aggressive.” Giuseppe Lo Jacono, chef and husband of the owner of the Appetì restaurant, in Palermo, where Badr Boudjemai worked (in the picture) – the Algerian, known as Samir, 41 years old, shot dead last November 4th in via Roma with three gunshots – pointed the finger at Aly Elabed Baguera, 32 years old, and his uncle Kamel Elabed, 61 years old, in the testimony given yesterday in the trial before the Assize Court presided over by Vincenzo Terranova. The two Tunisians are accused of killing the waiter who they considered a rival in the business of their restaurant which is located in via Emerico Amari right in front of the victim’s.

According to Lo Jacono, the motive for the murder lies precisely in the jealousy nurtured by their competitors, who were disturbed by the resourcefulness of their colleague who, thanks to his friendliness and professionalism, convinced numerous people to sit at the outdoor tables of Appetì. Boudjemai, like Aly Baguera, was a “butterfly”, in practice the two were competing to attract customers and from here the arguments would have arisen, so strong that they could have been the cause of the ambush which took place in front of the central post office in via Roma .
