Porta Elisa recovery project, the Municipality is cautiously open to the restructuring hypothesis put forward by the president of Lucchese Andrea Bulgarella. At Palazzo Orsetti he ensures that he has given ample guarantee to the Rossoneri club to ensure that the procedural process is reached as quickly as possible, but, it is clear, the facts are awaited. That is, the feasibility documents on the project alternatives and the related economic-financial plan.
After the flop of the project led by Aurora Immobiliare, rejected by the Municipality itself for failure to comply with the requirements set by the Services Conference in 2022, we want to be sure that the project, from every point of view, is standing. Furthermore, in the hypothesis put forward by Bulgarella, commercial activities would be envisaged within the perimeter of the facility, probably including a hotel (however fewer than in the Aurora project) in order to guarantee a livelihood for the club. It will now be necessary to understand whether the path of a joint path is really viable in a short time with the aim of making the facility which for over a decade has been waiting for interventions capable of making Porta Elisa suitable also for higher categories.
For the Municipality, the councilor for sport of the Municipality of Lucca Fabio Barsanti and the councilor for public works Nicola Buchignani were present at the meeting, as well as the technicians of the institution.
“It was a first round table – declared the councilors for sport and public works Fabio Barsanti and Nicola Buchignani – to lay the foundations towards the idea of a stadium that the club has in mind, as Lucchese had announced in recent weeks” .
“The administration will do everything to ensure that the times are as short as possible compatibly with the regulatory framework – he continues -, with the aim of undertaking a path that can lead to the presentation of a project for the new stadium that is sustainable and adequate for the needs and ambitions of Lucchese. We are now waiting for the company to produce a feasibility document of the project alternatives accompanied by an economic and financial plan”. Also yesterday, the municipal council adopted the council resolution for the withdrawal of public interest linked to the project for the new Aurora Immobiliare stadium, which will then be formalized in the municipal council.
The penultimate act has been taken, before the vote of the council itself, which will put an end to the restructuring hypothesis of Aurora Immobiliare which envisaged investments of around 50 million euros.
