Sustainable companies, oriented towards transition, which stand out on the national scene for their commitment to research and innovation, social impact, exports, consolidation and welfare. These are the 10 ‘Winning Companies’ awarded in Padua by Intesa Sanpaolo, as part of the program with which the leading Italian banking group identifies small and medium-sized companies that represent an example of entrepreneurial excellence and ‘made in Italy’.
The fourth of the fifteen stages of the tour took place in the Kube spaces, created in collaboration with Visa, which will reach the entire national territory. The companies selected are those deemed most deserving among the over 4 thousand who sent their applications for this edition of the program, the fifth. To these SMEs, the bank will provide, together with the project partners, ‘ad hoc’ tools to grow, including abroad, in sustainability, innovation, digital transition and extraordinary finance.
The companies awarded in Padua come from Western Veneto and Trentino Alto Adige, and are flagships in the construction, mechanical, electronics, furniture and design, health and fashion sectors. They are all SMEs rooted for decades and with great success in the entrepreneurial fabric, most for over forty years.
The ten awarded companies “represent an example of the best small and medium-sized enterprises that make up the production system of the Triveneto”, said Cristina Balbo, regional director of Veneto Ovest and Trentino Alto Adige Intesa Sanpaolo. They are companies “that have been able to address the issues of digital transition and sustainability, creating value for the economy, increased employment and overall well-being for people”. Underlining Intesa Sanpaolo’s commitment, Balbo explained: “At the end of 2023 there are over 207 thousand SMEs in the North-East who are customers of our bank, to whom we have provided financing for around 1.7 billion”. Of these, 750 million involved investments in sustainability and the circular economy. And with the new program “Your future is our business”, concluded the director, “we have made available another 120 billion euros until 2026 to accompany our businesses towards the ecological transition and thus continue to strengthen their competitiveness in national and international markets”.
