only 32 seconds then escape with tips and cell phone

«Fa ambress Antonio» orders the thief to his accomplice who shines a light behind the cash counter with a torch «There’s nothing here. Well, wait, there’s only one piggy bank. You want?”. “Take, take.”

It is the dialogue, in Neapolitan dialect, between the perpetrators of a theft committed last night against the Pizzeria “500 Grams” in via Artiaco and filmed entirely by the cameras of the venue’s video surveillance system. The whole thing lasted just thirty-two seconds, when the hands of the clock showed 02:52.

Helmets on their heads and faces distorted, the thieves broke into the shutter and one of the two snuck into the room while the other acted as a lookout. Thirty-two seconds during which the thief (called Antonio by his accomplice) managed to take a mobile phone and the piggy bank with the tips left by the customers. Then they fled on foot before reaching a scooter parked a short distance away. This is the fourth episode in three days to the detriment of commercial activities Pozzuoli and less than 24 hours after the robbery at the bar of the Q8 fuel station in via Campi Flegrei, near the Child’s Village.

Here too, at 04.45 sharp, two men with distorted faces and hoods on their heads took action: while one held down a customer and the employees, under the threat of a gun, the other jumped on the bar counter to reach the box where the crates are located. The raid was lightning-fast, lasting less than two minutes and filmed entirely by the cameras of the venue’s video surveillance system. Once they took the money, the robbers then fled.

The previous day, however, there were two failed shots against the “Chicco” store in via Solfatara and at the Q8 petrol station, along the Anas variant between the junctions of Monterusciello and Arco Felice. In the first case the thieves, after breaking a window, were scared away by the alarm system; while at Q8 a gang made up of six hooded men broke down the door of the garage where the self-service petrol station attendant was sitting inside.

Although the man had pointed out that the vending machines were not in operation due to the ongoing change of management and that therefore there was no money, the criminals did not give up as their objective was to reach the safe. The employee, however, managed to escape into the strong room and ask for help while the robbers escaped in a gray Audi A3.

Investigations by the police and carabinieri to trace the perpetrators of the four actions who, according to evidence, belong to more than one gang that has been moving in Pozzuoli for days.
