Cesena, 20 June 2024 – The soap opera is over. In the afternoon the Cesena Football with a note ha officialized to have formalized the agreement with Michele Mignaniwhich will be the new Juventus coach called to lead the team in return to Serie B. What happens to the technician Domenico Toscano (already having joined Catania after having consensually terminated the agreement that tied him to Cavalluccio for another season), a two-year contract was guaranteed, therefore valid until 30 June 2026.
Born in 1972 and with a past as a defender, Mignani took his first steps as a coach in Siena’s youth team, and then became technical collaborator first of Beretta and then of Breda at Latina in the 2014/15 season. He had his first experience on the bench with Olbia in Serie Dthen in 2017 he returned to Siena, leading the first team, in Serie C. After having coached Modena from 2019 to 2021, in the 2021/22 season he became the coach of Bari and immediately took them to Serie B. Confirmed in the season next one, came one step away from promotion to Serie A by losing the playoff final against Cagliari. After starting the third consecutive championship with the red and whites, in April 2024 he became the coach of Palermo, the team with which he reached the playoffs.
